Las Vegas Super Showcase Recap....

Kiiyani Anitielu – 2022 – 5’6” (Farmington Sparks) – I always say that if you’re a smaller player, then you better be dynamic. Well this kid is dynamic. She was a problem for every team! They could not stay in front of her. She’s quick, decisive, understands how to play at different speeds, limits her turnovers, and is constantly on the attack! She is a threat at all 3 levels on offense, plus she’s a pesky defender as well.

Journie Augmon - 2019  5’9” (Jam On It Black) – Journie is a live body, provides great energy, tremendous vertical, long, athletic and active around the basket. A very good defender as well. If she improves her outside shot, then she will improve her stock greatly.

Christina Bacci – 2020 – 5’9” (North Bay Elite Showcase) – A guard who is always under control. She gets to her spots on the floor and knows what to do when she gets there. She is dynamic off the bounce and showed a nice variety of finishes in the lane. The deep ball is there, excellent fundamentals, a sound overall player.

Jade Clack – 2023 5’10” (Nike CyFair-Maul) – I love her overall game. She is extremely efficient. Not a lot of wasted dribbles and unnecessary moves. Primarily a slashing athletic wing that beats defenders with a quick first step and good elevation at the rim.

Mackenzie Curtis – 2021 (Lakeside Stampede) – EASILY the hardest working player at the event. Not only is she skilled, but she just outworks any and everybody. She got to the basket and didn’t avoid contact, she embraced it. She fought for rebounds in and out of her area. Shot the 3 ball well off the catch and the bounce. She just has infectious and tenacious energy and permeates throughout her team. She can play!

Cindy Garcia – 2020 – 6’0” (Denver Gators) – I watched this kid a few games and truth be told I don’t even know her position, she is just a player. She played center, played point, attacked from the wing, just a solid aggressive player overall. She is a good decision maker as she made excellent passes from the high post. Showed a nice face up game offensively and rebounded her area well. Nothing flashy, just a hard working good overall player.

Daeja Holmes – 2020 – 5’8” (CenCal Elite) – A excellent point guard with the ability to score in a variety of ways. She has good vision, a tight & creative handle, nice floater, a good midrange  that she made numerous times over taller defenders because she truly elevates on her shot. She is a sleeper!

Makenna Jacklin – 2021 – 6’1” (BC250 U15) – A solid wing prospect with a good motor and good size. Established position down low on smaller defenders and finished well. Has good footwork, strong hands, and stepped out high and showed a nice touch from outside. A fundamentally sound enthusiastic defender as well.

Gisella Maul – 2023 – 5’8” (Nike CyFair Maul) – We have seen her numerous times. The good news is she continuously getting better. She is playing so much harder now, especially on the defensive end. She is locking up and causing havoc! Offensively she has all the tools. She is shifty, creative, athletic, solid from beyond the arc, beats defenders off the dribble and made several amazing passes. As she gets older and stronger I anticipate she will be among the best in her class.

Margarita Satini - 2019 - 5’8” (UIC) - A prototypical Point Guard. A true floor general. She pushes the pace, advances the ball early, hits teammates with accurate & on time passes, she is able to beat defenders off the dribble, can shoot it with range and it’s a great leader! She is a coach on the floor!

Kyara Sayers – 2021 – 6’0” (Spokane Titans) – A point guard with excellent size, good strength, tremendous IQ, really sees plays developing early. She makes her teammates better! Good leadership, vocal and overall good skillset.
